Kippah questions

Velvet, terylene or knitted — which kippah should I choose?

Velvet is the classic dressy kippah, usually black and often with a rim. Terylene and satin are lighter and smoother; the black six-part terylene kippah is a popular everyday choice. Knitted kippot (kippa sruga) are smaller and colourful, Frik kippot are larger and soft, and leather kippot are small and structured.

How are kippah sizes given?

Each product lists either the diameter in centimetres — from about 14 cm for small leather and knitted kippot up to about 25 cm for a full black kippah — or ART Judaica's size number (3 to 8; a higher number is a larger kippah). If you are unsure, lay a kippah you already own flat and measure across it.

Can I order kippot in bulk for a wedding, bar mitzvah or synagogue?

Yes. Order 20 or more units of an item, or any basket over $2,000, and 30% comes off automatically at checkout — no code or account needed. Many kippot are also sold as multipacks. For a special request or 500+ pieces, contact us and we will arrange it directly with ART Judaica.
